The importance of location Options

What is it about location and setting that can make a difference in a psychedelic journey? SWIM has experienced many many mushroom trips over many different types of locations\, settings and atmospheres. But never had SWIM taken a trip in a location that some would consider holy ground, namely American Indians. SWIM did that this past weekend and had one of the most powerful mushroom experiences he has ever had on only roughly 2.2 grams of mushrooms mixed into a chocolate ball. Multiple other people also took mushrooms from a different source and had a remarkably similar experience, one of the most powerful shroom trips they had ever had. In fact, SWIM even took the same shrooms a few weeks ago and did not have nearly as powerful an experience. It reminds SWIM of the book the Teachings of Don Juan about the importance of finding just the right spot and that being in the wrong spot can have a profound change. Has anybody ever explored this or have some more insight on this?

It could be just the idea that a certain area is holy is enough to effect the mind for a profoundly greater experience.

I find with set and setting, that atmosphere matters more. The overall mind set you have I believe has a much grander effect on the experience then the physical location does. The only difference between being closed off in a room with plain white walls, and a maybe a small candle, verses an ancient cathedral is how you perceive each place.

I find my experiences with mushies are best when I get to explore a little of my surroundings, but the specific location I am in, personally, doesn't matter.

I believe it's up to each individual to figure this out for themselves.
Do not listen to anything, "Steely" says. He is a made up character that his owner likes to role play with. His owner is very delusional and everything he says is completely untrue and ridiculous.

i have found that i always have a stronger connection with nature and a peaceful setting. it lets my mind roam around freely without distractions, and I've also seen people in the same settings freak out because of the mind set that there in when taking their psychedelic journey. Both can affect the direction your mind takes you
