Could Circulatory problems stop someone breaking through? Options

A big warm hello to everyone Smile I would like to discuss something here that has been bothering me for some time.
I know a person that at only the age of 23 may have circulatory problems. Two years ago this person started extractions in their home and produced some yellow spice that was smoked before cleaning it. The Vapour was harsh and the effects were minimal. The rest of the spice was put into a test tube and put away in a drawer.
About 2 days later that person developed a high fever and shortness of breath and ended up having to be taken to hospital. When there it was discovered that person had a Pulmonary Embolism (Blood clot in the lung) and they were started on an aggressive course of "Warfarin" that was used to thin the blood to 4 times the normal levels to break up the clot.
Now this person was told he was the youngest person ever to be admitted to that hospital with a clot. He was lucky that he did not end up having a stroke.
Now this person was slightly overweight at the time and not the most active of people, and he also has a family history of strokes and blood clots all on the male side of his family.
Anyway after he came out of hospital, about two days later he decided to take the rest of the spice that was left in the test tube. It was over 50mg so this person just vaporised the spice in the tube and inhaled until he could not do anymore. He had the best psychedelic experience of his life and saw a entity fill his vision that talked to him softly and told him that he was going to live a long and happy life. (The entity looked like a persian cat made out of fractals that had two piercingly bright blue eyes).
Now his blood would have been 4 times thinner than normal at the time, so could that have increased the effects of the spice? would it have made it work faster on the body?

The reason I ask this is that after that he did not take spice again until he was taken off the warfarin and given the all clear (this took six months). Since then every hit of spice or changa has given intense effects but never a breakthrough or anything that came close to that time while on warfarin.
Until recently this persons blood pressure was slightly high (normal levels now) and there is this possibility of circulation problems in the family.
Has anyone else experienced or heard of people having problems like this? Or does anyone know of something this person could try to overcome it?

Sorry for it being a long past.
Thank you for taking the time to read it Smile

Well warfarin has many drug drug interactions so its certainly possible that it could have altered the pharmacokinetics of DMT. However playing with such interactions is extremely dangerous and could kill you. Warfarin even interacts with compounds commonly found in food and this I believe has led to heart problems: see wiki on warafarin drug interactions.

I wonder however if use of spice was responsible for original blood clot. Serotonin is involved in blood clotting and vasoconstriction as are many serotonin agonists. If you have such a serious condition you should be extremely careful with these drugs. Perhaps MAOIs would help in this regard as I believe they are vasodialators (don't quote me on that you should look that up too).

Be careful! I think we need a doctor to comment...

Your friend is a little young for 'circulation' problems unless he is markedly overweight+/-diabetic+/-heavy smoker+/-hypertensive+/-congenital dyslipidemia+/- having rare ailments such as Buergers disease, or any combination of the above.

Warfarin therapy is not used to dissolve a clot such as a PE;its purpose is to reduce the production of Vitamin K dependent clotting factors (2,5,7 and 9) therby stopping more clots from evolving or the clot he has getting larger. His body will dissolve the clot he has over a period of about 6 weeks.

If he has a strong family history of unprovoked clots ie occuring out of the blue for no clear reason such as an operation/long journey or other cause of prolonged immobility then he may have an inherited throbophilic tendency such as protein C or S deficiency,anti-thrombin 3 deficiency, or conditions where the body contains clot-promoting antobodies such as the lupus anticoagulant or anti-cardiolipin antibodies.

I can think of no valid reason why his problems should prevent breakthrough experiences.Maybe he needs to work on his vaporisation technique or try a larger dose.
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Thank you so much for the information Smile My friend is a daily smoker of Tobacco and Cannabis and had asthma in his youth but generally does not have too many problems with his breathing except for the occasional chest infection. He has not had any clots since but the shock of the experience made him change his diet and also start exercising more so that could be preventing them from reoccurring.

Burnt; He often takes other serotonin agonists since having the clot and did on a regular basis before the clot. He was diagnosed with viral pneumonia when he went in with the clot and the Doctors said that it could have been a contributing factor but still thought something else would have caused it. He did not tell the doctors that he smoked spice a few days before. I wonder if the combination of the serotonin and the pneumonia had something to do with it.

Corpus; There have been a couple of instances of unprovoked clots in his fathers side of the family. His Grandfather had a PE when he was about 52 then had a stroke when he was 58 that paralysed him down his right side. His father had a brain Haemorrhage a few years after the stroke that was fatal. After reading your post he is going to go see his Doctor and see if they can screen him for the possible possible deficiencies you mentioned. It has given him some peace of mind knowing that they cannot be much inherent problems. He has never tried vaporising over 80mg and has had a couple of better experiences using a 50% Changa blend.
His housemate has bought a glass vaporgenie though so iv told him to get a good technique and try a large dose if need be Pleased

Thanks again Smile

Having a pneumonia is a 'good enough' risk factor for having a PE; the age of his male relative when he had his PE makes an inherited tendency most unlikely.I doubt he needs screening for the conditions I mentioned.

Yea that makes total sense. Would have been kind of weird if dmt was causing it.
