that whole article is a joke, including the doctor's assessment. doctors aren't necessarily scientists, they're cogs for the big pharma machine. but since they're also good media tools, people will take their misguided assessments as some sort of tangible evidence to influence public opinion and policy-making . WOW. I'd like to present today the "big golden star of stupidity" to Mr. Clingerman for his helpful medical enlightenment on the JWH substance and for doing almost EVERYTHING possibly wrong.... he even messed up banging his head against the floor for 13 hours with instead his arms. Could have saved him a hospital bill. Nothing more to say..... "proving Clingerman's condition was directly caused by spice is likely impossible, he said. It would require exposing someone to Clingerman's combination of Zoloft, anti-psychotic medication and spice." the whole slew of Big Business doctor drugs are undeniably toxic and deadly. you could mix them with orange juice and toast and you'd still get paralyzed and die!!!! let's outlaw orange juice!!!!

Yeah man... That spice... once I'd had that first joint I... I just couldn't keep off it. I was just constantly out for the buzz man.. it was like... my family didn't even no me anymore...
oh wait that's absolute bull shit. It lasts far too long, has more sedative qualities than actual good mind enhancing qualities and after one joint I gave the rest to a friend... who chucked it in the bin.

Any substance that's active in the several mg range is going to be fairly easy to OD on. Just sitting in the chat I can't tell you how many times people have come in talking about ODing on a JWH, whether it's their first time or they simply smoked a little more than they intended to. Yes, this guy is an idiot, but again, with substances that are active at such low doses, I imagine that many careful people still ingest more than they intend to. If people would start evaporating their JWH onto herbs it would make dosing much safer and easier. "I'm creeping back to life, my nervous system all awry, I'm wearing the inside out. I never have a problem dosing straight out of a vial, I don't even use a scale. I don't overdose because I am careful. like I said it's really not that hard. Anyway, maybe all this jwh hype will help the legalization of cannabis. So many people are using it as a substitute, and it's possibly way worse for your body, people are showing up in the ER,et cetera It's like this jwh is right on time or something with the message: hey people, what the fuck are you doing, ive [cannabis] been here all along, love me, please

Well, JWH-018 and the related substances may be harmful to some individuals. We don't know yet. Daily use over prolonged times is therefore something to be avoided. But man, this guy... What an idiot. He takes sertraline (Zoloft), an "anti"-depressant associated with suicidality, birth-defects, impotence, inability to get orgasm, just to name a few. And he blames the JWH... Well. Evolution's a bitch.

This is very interesting, thanks for posting. Plenty of people use JWH compounds responsibly without any issue. Obviously people should not be using a completely unknown novel chemical on a daily basis. That is just plain stupid. Unfortunately I think we will be seeing more of these "scare stories" in the future.

"Clingerman said he has never tried marijuana because it's illegal.
The 1 gram package of Spike Max was enough for about three uses, which Clingerman smoked in the bowl of a pipe. He estimates buying about three packages weekly.
"I figure it's an herbal supplement, it shouldn't do anything negative," he said of mixing spice with prescription medication. "It's herbal. ... Until now. You get the sudden realization when you almost die."

If a the optimum for a JWH-x lies in between 2 and 4 mg, it's innevitable that people OD on it: most scales do not measure that accurate, they have a range of about 2mg's. This means that you could easily have twice as much as your scale indicates.

I scoop a tiny bit out on the end of a toothpick. better to have not enough the first 2 or 3 hits than to OD. patience people! feel it out people!
