I have been researching Datura, for educational purposes and came across an interesting thread on drugs.com (linked below). It says Quote: there are two different active drugs in datura : atropine which is very toxic and a little hallucinogenic, and scopolamine wich is very hallucinogenic and less toxic than atropine. So the one you want is scopolamine only. The problem is that if you use datura orally, you get both in your body, unless you use it transdermally because only scopolamine can pass through the skin (atropine will stay out of your body this way).
It goes on to give a tek for a transdermal ointment (listed below). The ointment is intended for a full blown Datura experience. Given the dangers of high doses of Datura most here are only interested in the potentiating ability of Datura. Has anyone heard of anyone trying a transdermal application with such a small dose, say 3 - 6 seeds? Has anyone heard of the difference in effects with eating and taking it transdermally? The ointment given at http://www.drugs-forum.c...um/showthread.php?t=7800Quote: -Crush the datura seeds in a fine powder. -Place the powdered seeds in some lard (= pork fat). -Add some organic soot (how to make it: see below). -Blend well. -Cook over a gentle heat (below 100 °C) for 2-4 hours while stiring regularly. -Let sit for a week (at least) in a dark place, stir regularly (several times a day). -Filter (see the note below). -Keep the fatty ointment in a sealed glass jar, in a dark & cool place.
Note: you'd better handle the ointment wearing gloves (since the ointment is absorbed through the skin).
How to make organic soot ? Just place some lard in some aluminum foil to make a foil parcel. Place it in the embers until the lard is completely grilled (you should obtain some black organic soot).
How to use the ointment:
Witches used to spread it... -over their temples -under their armpits -over their vagina -just behind their ears -over their neck -over the interior part of their forearm -over the left part of their stomach -over their calves -and under their sole (of the feet).
NEVER spread any on your forehead (risk of death).
I would suggest starting with only the temples & armpits (very suitable areas for transdermal absorption).
Note that the calves & sole are for producing a feeling of flight (I don't know about other areas specificties).

You can buy scopolamine patches for motion sickness I believe - be careful with it though, I wouldn't screw around with it at all.

I was reasearching the "flying ointments" and talking to jorkest about this just this morning! Im making an ointment starting with mugwort in olive oil first, then Il add more stuff later a I go..Im using it for lucid dreaming though..the origional recipes always contain more than just henbane and belladona etc..usually they are a mixture of plants, with mugwort added often, as well as cannabis as opium poppies..probabily the tropane plants havemore effect at a lower dose this way when combined with all the other admixtures, some of which, like mugwort are used themselves for dreaming and astral projection etc.. BTW..according to Retsch these "flying ointments" were actually used for attaining states of shamanic sorts of ecstacy by pagans durring sex magic..often anal sex and the ointments were applied to the genitals..the reality of flying ointments really is a mytery, weather they were used for the sabbath or not..noone knows for sure..the chuch sure took care of all that and made sure that a whole lot of pagan practices were lost. We do know that plants like mugwort and henbane were *likey* used durring the sabbath though, and in northern european shamanic practices such as seidr, which literally means "to boil"..both the boiling of plant based potions, and the boiling of the mind that occured when the seidrkonas and seidrmadors took these postions and entered into trance. Dont mess with henbane, belladona, mandrake or datura etc unless you have done all your homework though, and are sure you know what your doing. I think 69ron posted about tropane ointments at one point, and how they were much more hallucinogenic without so much toxicity. Long live the unwoke.

Interesting, I have never heard of the "Flying Ointments" I'll look them up tonight. I was also thinking olive oil would be a better choice than pig fat. My friend has never actually experimented with Datura, he has been doing alot of research and am currently growing both datura stramonium and inoxia in hopes of finding a safe application method and dosage. Really just for potentiating at very low doses. I'll look up Rons thread. Thx ThirdEyeVision It's the third eye vision, five side dimension The 8th Light, is gonna shine bright tonight

fractal enchantment wrote:^how did you get your datura seeds to germinate? mine wont at all.. Would like to know this too, I put some in a freezer and some in warm water for 24 hours and then into soil, and some straight into soil. One straight into soil germinated, I put a tent over the seedling but it died, I was away for a few days, pretty gutted. The rest I didnt get anything

Maybe I jumped the gun there. I should say I'm waiting on my Datura to grow.... I soaked my seeds in GA3 for 24 hours and right into an incubator at 80f and 90% humidity. They've been incubating for about 3 days so I expect babies by next week. GA3 has never failed me. I'll update with pics ASAP. ^app cold stratification is the way to go..meaning germinating them in the fridge. Datura stramonium germinates in the wild as the winter snowcover is melting and the ice cold run off saturates the seeds.. Still, cold stratification never worked for me either. Long live the unwoke.

I never had trouble growing Datura stramonium. I just put the seeds in a pot and watered it. I didn't baby the seeds. I treated them like the weeds they are and they grew just fine. I think I had a 90% germination rate. It's a smelly plant, and dangerous to have around children, so be careful with it. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. ^ I tried that as well, but after 3 months without anything germinatingout of like 8 seeds I assumed it wasnt gunna happen. Is there a time period when they are viable? Long live the unwoke.

I folded a moist paper towel up stuffed a few seeds into the folds. I then placed this in a plastic ziploc bag which I left open for about a week. This was left on a warm window sill for the most part. I think I remoistened the paper towel a few times, but it worked like a charm. Once the plant is established, it's near invincible I think.

I have recently read that scopolamine and hyoscyamine in the seeds inhibit the natural release of GA3 so a leaching is needed (in the wild time and rain takes care of it). A good 24 hour soak in warm GA3 solution should have done the trick. We shall see. PS: GA3 makes cold stratification not necesery ThirdEyeVision It's the third eye vision, five side dimension The 8th Light, is gonna shine bright tonight

I have no idea. Mine always popped up after a week or so. I just plant them and they grow, any time of year. I have never had trouble with them, they are weeds. Maybe the location I live in is just perfect for them? I don't know. I normally don't go through hoops to grow plants. If they don't germinate on their own in a pot, I usually discard them, and move on to the next plant on my list of interesting plants. There was a time when I would bother to do all the extra steps to get a stubborn seed to germinate, but these days with all the kids, and hectic life style, I just don't have time for that. If it doesn't germinate on its own, I simply won't grow it. It's hard enough remembering to water the yard on time with all the other stuff I need to do. I have no free time pretty much. I don't grow Datura stramonium anymore though. I don't think it's wise to have that plant in a garden were children play. You may remember me as 69Ron. Sounds like a good way to overdose... Amanita makes an equally devilish ointment too
|

^prob actaully alot safer than taking it internally..since the atropine is not active as an ointment, which is the more toxic tropane. Nevertheless, this is the stuff of hardcore witchcraft and shouldn't be attempted by those not dedicated to reading every single damn thing you can find on tropanes and these plants, commited to starting low and knowing just what it is your doing to yourself. From what I heard from a real witch that did do this, applying it all over including inside her vagina..this is NOT anything to ever be taken lightly..this is like shamanic death and something you dont do often if again at all. Be careful what you wish for... Long live the unwoke.
