Had a very interesting daydream the other day and finally met 'The Boss'.

'The Boss' was some sort of invisible masculine entity which decided to take me on a guided tour of what I can only describe as a huge three dimensional knowledge repository. It was situated in a vast valley filled with alien and human forms of incredible prismatic colour and complexity. As I soared over the valley many of the usual 'children' entities tried to distract me with their strange nested objects but this time The Boss made a made a point that He (whatever He was - real or imagined) was taking me round today and had some lessons to teach me.

I knew The Boss was there because throughout this he was talking to me, explaining what I was being shown in the valley/library/database and asking me whether I understood. Sadly I cannot recall what the message was but it was much more complex than the usual 'everything is connected' that people seem to get. It was more about the relationship between this place and my (or everyone's) reality.

I remember at many points sentences 'spoken' in English to me were interrupted by a wierd word in a strange language which I recognised from many other experiences. I suddenly realised that this word was my True Name. I remember long ago on an intense experience from my friend Hoffman having a wierd flashback to being a newborn and thinking words in a baby language but I now realise these words were my real name. The Boss was speaking directly to my soul rather than the construct which is my everyday human name.

It went something like this: 'Can't you see X? Can you understand how this all works'

So what did my name sound like in this weird language?

Of course it's impossible to describe but here goes. It was like a cross between the following all spoken at once:

Majapanix
Stoncondlyworts
Intelligent
Navviedrex

You'll see the English word in there I am really not trying to be big-headed, just honest that something about my true name means or sounds like 'intelligent'. (If you subscribe to the idea these experiences are all self-generated then it looks as though I have a pretty high opinion of myself for which I apologise!)

Today I decided to look up 'True Name'. Now, it is a concept I am familiar with. I had no conscious knowledge it was associated with people, but I did know in myth that if you know a demon's 'True Name' then you have power over him.

I was most surprised that many cultures/myths have suggested individuals have a true name (Wikipedia: True Name) and there is even a possible name for the language (Wikipedia: Adamic).

I'm very much a fence sitter on the whole 'is it real or not' thing but this is certainly food for thought. Ring any bells with anyone?

The concept of true name is mainly from goetic writings (however it is found in many primitive cultures as well) which were a collection of manuscripts hundreds years ago. Supposedly writings of king solomon himself thus they are known as the greater (lemegeton) and lesser (goetia) keys of solomon. I was not uncommon for very intelligent scholars to create counterfeit occult texts at this time and to sell these to gullible rich nobelmen. Unfortunately it was a risky practice since occult material could get you burned at the stake. A especially clever scholar created these manuscripts which in their reading was christian in nature so that one would not technically be worshiping the devil if one were to utilize them making the sell easier to the nobles. The manuscripts revolved around god commanding that demons were to be slaves of humans and to do mankinds biding as a punishment. To command the demon you must have knowledge of it's true name. These manuscripts became a major influence into the occult in the ate 1800s early 1900's unfortunately historic scholars and later scientific dating showed they were not as old as they claimed to be. All of the manuscripts were a result of the con artist taking very old parchment removing the writing and using the parchment as a blank paper to write on making the document look much older.

However the writings were so well done that the person constructing them must have had a deep understanding of the kabbalah which was a highly secretive art at the time. So there is still much dissagreement on their value. Some people agree that even tho they are obvious counterfeits they do contain some accurate historical information therefore they are not totally worthless you must just put forth the effort of finding the real from the false.

Virtually all occult manuscripts are couterfeit. The issue was this those who had real manuscripts or copies of old manuscripts hid them very well and told no one as those manuscripts could get them killed. SO when these people passed on the manuscripts tended to stay where they were hidden and after many years degraded to the point to where they were illegible. What little we can confirm and learn we usually attain from archeology of sites.

This is the reason why those who study the occult must endeavour to verify the sources of their readings.

Well that's your occult history 101 for the day.
If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

Vovin - always interested to hear this kind of history. Thank you. And Metta, really interested to hear my experience is not unique. I wish I could actually pronounce/remember my true name like you can. I'd know it if I heard it, but I have only heard it in hyperspace it seems (regardless of the access method)
