So my buddy's first couple of extractions didn't work out and wants to insure his success with this next attempt. His order should be here tomorrow so he would love to have a little sample of his product tomorrow night. What is a recommended tek to get do with a small amount on the side for extremely fast results?

That tek has (or a link of it) has been on this forum before and yes it is easy and uses pretty basic (toxic) materials...
but it is nothing new at all. STB lye teks have been around for a while.

The newer teks use pickling lime, d-limonene, vinegar. Many use fumeric acid and acetone or IPA. Some use naptha or xylene.

The drawback of the STB is that it takes much longer for the freebasing of the alkaloids compared to acid/base reactions.
Also, though pickling lime can be used for STB it is very slow, so that leaves nasty and toxic lye as the prime candidate...
for a process that can be done with only pickling lime, vinegar and a non-polar solvent.

My friend got his bark today at ten, started extraction at noon, blasted off by nineish? Doesn't really remember. But the point is that this watchas extraction tek was his first sucess and it was sweet. He only used a test batch of fourty five grams but his end product was pretty surprisingly satisfying.

Soo he recommend the recrystallization strongly also because it was alittle yellowy. Thanks. Can't get over this.
