hello everyone,

I've recently ordered 2lbs of powdered mimosa hostilis, from a reputable online vendor. I have a very basic Idea of extracting dmt, and I was thinking of following lazy mans tek, does anyone have any advice? All responses are greatly appreciated.

Hi Dr - I would say to read everything you can find on spice, then read all the teks. Read them all again and then decide which tek would suit you best. You will get cleaner spice, a better yield and more out of the whole experience if you thoroughly understand what you are doing before starting.

I would also say to start small, with say 50g MHRB - it is much more manageable to do a small extract first. That way you won't waste materials if you get it wrong, and you can try a little spice to see if it is for you before doing a larger extract. Besides - a little goes a long way!

Thanks 1664, I've had the chance of trying spice 4 days ago, and it was a tease, I just keep wondering about the possibilitys of higher doses. Also I dont have a scale, is it possible to eyeball 50grm of Mhrb?

its possible to eyeball, but tricky. the final product can be fluffy or crystaline. which would result in totally different lookin piles. you can find scales that go down to .01 for like 20 bucks. that would be your best bet. otherwise, you'll be going completely blind into the wilderness. good luck with your endeavors.

You could eyeball 50g MHRB I suppose - just cut your 2lbs in half 4 times and that should leave you with approx 50g. Best buy a scale like Blackstatis says for weighing out a dose though. It is worth the investment and builds confidence when you are upping your dose. There is no way I would do it without one, but that is up to you.

You should yield approx 1%, so 100g MHRB = 1g spice (20 strong doses)

I think im just going to borrow a scale just so everythings exact, because its my first time ever extracting anything. Less room for error. thanks for all your help.

Hey drdmt,

It's great that you've decided to begin extracting your own DMT! The best advice I can give you is to be pure in your intent, and pure in your practice. The more respect you give the spice, the more you will get out of it.

Thoroughly clean all your equipment before extracting to avoid any contamination. Also, go slowly at first and be fully conscious of what your doing. You will probably have to refer often to your Tek of choice (though you should have it memorized), so keep it handy. I may at this point recommend Noman's tek, as for my first extraction I used both Lazyman's and Noman's teks, and found the freeze precipitation to give much better crystals.

You should start thinking about how your going to smoke the spice that you will extract. I have recently had success with "The Machine", can't can't recommend it enough. It is very simple to make and operate, and is great for getting all you can out of your first "mini" extraction. You can easily find instructions on fabrication in the Nexus Wiki should you choose to do so.

And of course, always wear protective equipment. NaOH will do some serious damage if it comes in contact with living tissue. Get a decent pair of goggles, thick chemical gloves, as well as a dust mask and always wear them when handling the mixture. You will often be tempted to remove the equipment thinking you don't need it for that split second, put that's when shit hits the fan, so to speak!

Hi, thanks for all the info, and I have been researching and found that instead of Evap im going to freeze precip, then once crystals form ill put the rest of naptha back in my jar to re-use. And let the crystals dry in room temp. I've found a tek, that has pictures, and its step by step, so I think i'll be using that one. I can't remember at the moment what forum its on, it was posted by some one named "nature boy". My mimosa should be here tommorow or friday so I'll post pics of the results of my extraction.
