I tried a smaller than break through dose for 1st time but am looking to try again with the recommended dosage now that I have some expectation on how intense this is. My question is if going into the trip do I need to set hours of free time? Meaning if I took off to another dimension at 11am will I be able to go shopping at 12pm? 1pm? 6pm? I know the overall trip is short but asking more for any left over effects. Think hangover after drinking too much the night before in regards to this question. Sorry if asked before I could not find a string where this question was asked. Thank you.

You'll likely be able yo drive a car immediately after you come down. So if you journey at 11, you can probably head to the store between 11:10 and 11:20 Laughing You'll likely have an afterglow, but that's not inebriating at all. Just feels really good.

What if the "truth" is: the "truth" is indescernible/unknowable/nonexistent? Then the closest we get is through being true to and with ourselves.

This is relative in some ways. I myself enjoy setting aside time for the trip itself but also time for contemplation, journaling or otherwise integrate for at least a couple hours afterward. Sometimes experiences can be pretty intense and emotions can be equally as intense leading me to need even more time to acclimate back to the world, calm down my emotions, breathe and focus on taking care of myself. I think it important to check your mind and body afterward. All systems check and then go back into life.

Each to their own. I know people who could care less about integration and all this. It's a matter of approach I suppose. I create ceremony, intentions and really dive in with a heavy amount of respect for where this molecule can take you. I don't take it lightly. For me it's serious sacred work.

To answer your question more simply. You can be back to baseline in a matter of minutes. I have often looked at the clock afterward and surprised to find a mere 8 mins had passed while the experience itself felt like weeks or months or eons had gone by, maybe even forgetting I was a human. I usually feel a nice afterglow in most cases and can resolve normal duties in life within the hour if needed.

Good luck and happy travels!
'There is an area of the mind that could be called unsane, beyond sanity, and yet not insane. Think of a circle with a fine split in it. At one end there's insanity. You go around the circle to sanity, and on the other end of the circle, close to insanity, but not insanity, is unsanity.' -Sidney Cohen

Well as the others has said here, you'll be 'back' quite soon. ... But you might also start thinking differently on that shopping part Pleased

As long as you smoke the dose, even if it's huge, even if it goes on past the typical 5-10 minutes of a DMT trip you should be feeling physically normal within 30 minutes and for sure 100% baseline within 60. To be honest, I feel baseline at about 15-25 minutes.

And after 60 minutes, I am good to and often do go back to my gig based job without difficulty.

Oral brews are a different matter. They take hours, not minutes and really should involve scheduling the entire day or night for the business of the trip and any potential aftermath.

DMT is so interesting. It has heaven and hell within it. It has the most profound time dilation. Many times folks don't want it to end. Every once in awhile they wonder why it is taking so long to end. But the the real time clock shows us just how safe and fast DMT is. Our bodies process it lightening fast.
