Hmm , that animal story sounds like a Motorhead myth. Animal appeared in the muppets in the mid 70s. Lucas Fox was Motorhead's original drummer, Phil Taylor joined round about 1976 and no one in America had hardly heard of Motorhead til at least 1980. They only started playing the states in 1981.
