Hello fellow travellers,

Long time lurker on this, The Shoomery & The Corroboree forums, dating back to 2013/14's.

Guess I'll start of with the general info; I'm a early 30’s Aussie born male.

Since as long as I can remember I've always had an avid fascination with exploring and knowing as much as I can about the world surrounding me.
As a child that consisted of learning as much as I could about the snakes, bugs, fish and plants in my environment. This grew to exploring much of our local & international societal history, our national & internation developments (political, psychological, environmental) and eventuated in my studying of the function of the human body. A thirst for knowledge you could say.
I also harboured a thirst for new experiences; exploring the many different sub-cultures around where I grew up, every different sport and new hobby I could try, and travelling to many countries around the world.

With this travelling came my introduction to drugs, having been relatively straight edge during high school.
Cocaine & marijuana numerous times in Hong Kong at 18yo was my introduction, both of which I originally found over-rated. The feeling coke gave me, I felt at the time could be achieved with a couple vodka & red bulls and at a much lower cost. I felt weed slowed me down and made by brain too sluggish but did make Fresh Prince of Bel-Air a lot more funnier.

On an small island in the Indonesia Archipelago not long after my time in Hong Kong, I introduced myself to Psilocybin in the form of a "Mushie Milkshake." Laying on the beach watching the sun explode across the horizon, tree branches spiderwebbing out above me, baby turtles in a pond and some new friends nearby, I found what had been missing in my previous drug experiences and was initiated in to an ongoing interest in psychedelics.

Fast forward more than a decade and I'd describe myself as very modestly experienced in the world of psychedelics (at least compared to the average poster on this site) yet approach them with a respect & desire to help better myself and my surroundings when I use them.

My wife has suffered the past 7 years with fairly uncontrolled epilepsy following a car crash that has lead to some horrible situations over the years (multiple intubations/near drownings/flight diversions).
These experiences has accumulated quite a bit of trauma for the two of us and for a long time we were just hanging on, supporting each other as best we could and pushing forward ignoring the trauma building in our psyches.
Over the past year or so she has gained a level of control over her condition through her shear hard work and determination and we have been exploring and working through the trauma of the previous half decade, it is here that I've really found the value of psychedelic work when approached properly (and I should note not at the exclusion of traditional therapies in our case).

With the upcoming birth of my first child, I'm planning to undergo an "Aussiewaska" (Australian brewed Ayehuasca) exploration of my psyche and hopefully gleam some insights and put in motion some work towards becoming the most loving compassionate father I can be.

I'm a fairly avid gardener with an interest in Indigenous Australian food plants, a seasonal psilocybe subaeruginosa patch and am currently propagating 3 species of rare (habitat-threatened) DMT-containing Acacias with altruistic motives to hopefully help stabilise the populations of these beautiful trees down the track.

Thanks for reading Smile
