hi all !

first of all thank you for having me, after a decade of traveling the realms with my shaman's i decided to get more in contact with the dmt plants and how to work with them on a more personal level, this is my very first post.

so the indigenous way of preparing happens in one pot, all the teks i find seem to be in two,
which also results in two brews to drink, i would love to find a tek where it all goes in one pot.

preparing the caapi and the mimosa (or whatever the ingredients of your choice) ... why? .... since both are prepared the exact same way, with the same PH level, same temp.

what if i just (mindfully) smash both in same pot and do the cook like that? basically how it's done in the jungle.

if you have a one pot tek or tried it, i would love to get your experiences (and the tek if you still have it at hand),
i just live the way i have done all my ayahuasca travels, by having one glass of medicine and meditate myself into the realms.

looking forward to your insights !

The reason to separate both is to to feel the inhibition before the tryptamine kicks in. This is a more economic and safe way to do it.

I only make one pots but it's true that the plants come up more with the second glass when mao inhibition is already taking place.

So eventually you need to redrink a second time after 1.30 h or so.

But of course you can already feel the first glass.

My basic recipe is 70g or more of caapi and around 6 or 7 g of mimosa or acacia per person. Cooking several times, reducing and so on and so forth.

Filtering is essentiel if you want to conserve the brew for a time.

hi donfoolia,

thanks for your reply, it confirms what i knew (as for the kick in and reserving) and eliminates the doubt i had about why not just cook all as one after seeing only 2-4 pots recipes.

i will just go for the one pot way, cook in one big pot, sing, dance and throw all my good intentions in that one pot !
... time is a friend so waiting for it to kick in or drink more later on is ok for me, this is what i am used to and feel very comfortable with that.

thanks for the reply and the extra tips on filtering.

safe travels.

It is, anyway, a good idea to have a second, even small, pot at hand. You can brew your plants one time, filter them and let the liquid rest of the first brew in the second pot.
Refill big pot with water, cook slowly, and after reunite your several brews without the plant matérial to reduce further .

That's why many people refer to some pots, it is only for practical reasons a good idea to have two or three other recipients nearby to make the filtering, collecting and finally the reducing.

In this video you can see the manufacturing of daime which is essentially a one pot method.
