Interesting quote here.

Given that a said position is acceptable, am I OK to say that coloured people are of inferior intelligence? I think scientific proof is unnecessary, I have proved it to myself time and time again.

inf - "am I OK to say that coloured people are of inferior intelligence?"

well now racism is a different story dude - thats just pure ignorance of cultural differences.
and you like anyone else are OK to say what you like, but ask yourself this first - is it positive ?

i live in south africa - back in the day we used to have that aphartheit crap, we fixed that and got over it.
yeah there are some pockets of boer farmers that feel defeated, but we dont have nonsense like kkk or white supremacy groups.
its all about understanding dude - why throw a stick in the spokes - is negativity the way foreward.
since i changed my mindset to a more positive one my quality of life has improoved million fold -
fairly streight foreward for me it seems : -

negativity = fighting = wars = moving backwards = conflict ======== fear
positivity = growth = peace = harmony = moving foreward ====== love

science is a usefull tool that allows us to explore some of the more hidden aspects of reality but it is by no means our only tool.

...unlike the "blind leading the blind". we are more akin to a group of blind-from-birth people who have all simultaneously been given the gift of sight but have no words or mental processing capabilites to work with this new "gift".

IT IS ONLY TO THE EXTENT THAT WE ARE WILLING TO EXPOSE OURSELVES OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO ANNIHILATION THAT WE DISCOVER THAT PART OF OURSELVES THAT IS INDESTRUCTIBLE.

I spoke from my heart. When I went to India I met many Buddhist monks and all of them said the same thing the secret to pure happiness is really simple its just pure compassion... For me science is a beautiful tool and is the foundation of Buddhist philosophy, its of the utmost importance to question and logically analyse everything but when it comes to matters of the heart only you and your own heart can answer certain things.

The fate of our times is characterised by rationalisation and intellectualisation and, above all, by the disenchantment of the world.

Im sort of between the opinions here.. On one hand I do think a rigurous (sp?) scientific examination of the world is very necessary and I think works such as masato's or other new-agy things are very misleading and should be questioned critically..

But I also think that when someone, like aegle, talks about the importance of being 'positive', there is a great merit here that goes beyond what science can measure, and yet it's incredibly important.. How can you measure love, through science, for example? maybe you can talk about increased heartbeat and pupil dilation and whatever else, but this is NOT what love is, and yet its one of the best, most meaningful and significant experiences a human being can have in life. So if I feel that love is important, that trying to be good and patient to others is important, that trying to put something positive in the world is important, and even if this is unexplainable and unreproducible by strict science, nevertheless it keeps being extremely valid and something worth working for.

Dogma of science is the same as dogma of religion.

Science is a usefull tool for making sense of the (your) world. Just like a religion or any other system of beliefs.
They wont tell you about absolute truth.
It is dogmatic to deny ingnorance.

Of course you should do what works best for you and your surroundings.
And discussion is fruitful Pleased

science is a method to try to develop answers for questions. if a theory has no evidence to support it, it carries no merit and is discarded.
religions go on beliefs that have no definite answers for questions. their answer is to "just have faith".

How can you expect scientific proof or any proof of anything with a closed mind. No one boiling up any rice huh?
Dont even want to try to learn? Its a simple thing to try no one here has a open enough mind to even attempt it.

I know you have listened to this before thats why I am done here is a dead end road.

Have fun circling around one another. Making assumptions based on preconceived notions that some one else suggested may be real.

You may as well go back to the Dark Ages that came after the Plague.

Ashes to Ashes we all fall down!

Put a flower in you shirt. That will smell nice and drive away evil spirits.

I know at least one here will see some truth. Pass it on when you get the chance its not a popularity contest.

No matter what they would have you believe.

I would say that positive thoughts are more UNITIVE than negative thoughts...i dont know about powerful..
Power is a tricky thing...becasue it doesnt necessarily imply moral preferance...it can just go either way..

True positivity really i think requires less power, becasue it unites..unity implies a sharing of power..it's not such an individualistic thing.
Long live the unwoke.

Boil up some rice and let me know is a simple thing. If you can extract you should be able to boil rice. If you are really interested in the truth there are many things to do no reason to be using Happysin=enthogens =(drugs)

Nothing wrong with using DRUGS to expand your mind and any one who tells you different is a new age......I wont say it...

I think negative/evil thoughts are more powerful than positive/benign thoughts.
I think positive/benign actions are more beautiful than negative/evil actions.

That's why I think being a "nice" person is the best thing to do, but can be difficult sometimes.

No scientific evidence here... just my honest feelings.
