Hello all,
I have a question. I've just bought a Vaporesso Gen200 to use for vaping DMT in a 50\50 VG PG base. Problem is, I've only got about 0.2g of DMT and the tank on this thing is 8ml, which is obviously pretty spacious! Even if I do 2 juice to 1 DMT ratio, that will only give me 0.6ml (ish) of juice in the this 8ml tank. Is that just too little juice to be viable for this setup, or do these tanks work down to the last drop before burning out? Many thanks for any advice. Travis.

Think you will probably need more DMT. If it’s anything like my vapes then that 0.6ml will probably get absorbed into the wick pretty much instantly. Generally you need a bit of a reservoir of liquid otherwise you risk a dry hit which will burn the cotton and make everything taste nasty.
I just tried the DMT citrate vape juice with 1g DMT / 3g 50:50 pg vg mix / 0.3g citric acid. I presided with some sublingual rue extract and it was absolutely amazing. I did get through around 500mg of DMT though as it was a bit of a long session sitting out in the sunshine in a beautiful little valley.

Wow ,that sounds amazing Randomness! You made the rue exraction? I wanna make some sort of mixing after my first dmt extraction soon.

Thanks Randomness, that's what I feared. I'll have to order some more bark...

Hello Maybe this tank is not the most suitable for what you want to do, at least for 2 reasons : 8ml is quite big, you could meet difficulties to soak the wick with the residual remaining juice. You'll have less problems with a smaller capacity/diameter tank. The other thing is that this clearomiser is intended for subohm vaping with juices with a dominant of VG. 50/50 PG/VG is maybe too fluid and could leak. Anyway I don't know this tank, I never tried it, so maybe you could give a try and see what happens, but I think this tank is not the best choice you can find on the market. Hey, I appreciate the responses. On further inspection, I've discovered that my Vaporesso Gen 200 came with a 2ml tank due to EU law or something, so it doesn't have the 8ml bubble tank that I've seen on YouTube reviews of this device, which is what confused me. Please excuse my sheer noobiness. Anyway, I've ordered a bit more bark, as I don't think 0.2g of the good stuff is going to be all I'll ever need, in any case. Thanks all.

An 8ml tank is actually quite large. Most suitable tanks are about half that capacity, let's say 4ml to 5ml. While the overall capacity of the tank is not a problem in itself, there is a minimal amount of vape juice required to always keep the wick that hosts the coil moist. This ensures that the coil does not overheat, which would result in burning the wick and probably leaving some residue on the coil itself, which definitely will be noticeable in terms of taste and vapor quality.
The actual minimum amount should be marked as a fill line on the wick holder anyway, but a a 2ml tank will be sufficient for one sitting, honestly.
I think the core question you asked is more about mixing ratio. SWIM has experimented with vaping and ratios over the course of 2 years and has come to the conclusion that a ratio as high as 1:1 as is often mentioned is typically unnecessary. They go with a 1:4 to 1:3 mixing ratio of 1 part spice (in milligrams) to 3-4 parts vape juice (in milliliters). Apparently, this allows for slowly building up the experience, up to a breakthrough in about 5 puffs from the vape, if so desired.
However, it seems that the actual settings and technique are really important. Direct-to-lung vapes seem to work much better, and the wattage setting plays a crucial role in ensuring spice vaporization is on point. SWIM has obtained amazing results with a 4ml tank, 2ml of solution, wick with mesh coils at around 48W and a pre-warmed solution (for example, if the juice was placed in the fridge for storage). Individual settings will depend on all components involved, and the technique itself has to be learned - the first attempts might not be as successful, but SWIM say they consider vaping to be less wasteful and more efficient after successfully experimenting.
All the best in your studies!

I use a 2ml tank and I don't even fill it completely, at most half. More than enough. muldowney wrote:They go with a 1:4 to 1:3 mixing ratio of 1 part spice (in milligrams) to 3-4 parts vape juice (in milliliters). Just a little mistake : the DMT part is in gram. For example : 1g DMT:3ml PG/VG juice. But yeah you're right, 1g for 3 to 4ml is the good ratio. 1:1 doesn't aerosolize well and often clogs quickly. muldowney wrote:However, it seems that the actual settings and technique are really important This is the most important point. There is a learning curve, and it can take a while to find functional settings and improve inhaling technique. There is no universal setting, find the ones that are best suited to the material, the way of inhaling and the juice concentration. Humanity has invented gods, the reverse remains to be proven.

Rue extraction is fairly easy, I just did a standard Mansake type thing. It was years ago so I don’t remember the exact specifics but I am fairly sure I got the instructions for the tek here on the NEXUS. Sublingual rue with box mod DMT juice is very nice experience, you only need 5mg-10mg hits and it is very easy to find a nice level and maintain it. It feels totally different from a big breakthrough blastoff and is much nicer if you want a prolonged deep DMT trip. I was sitting in amongst some heather heathland in a lovely little valley and it looked so indescribably beautiful. The rue extract totally cleared and calmed my mind and put me in a very meditative headspace and the DMT added beautiful colours and in many ways it was much more profound than a typical 30mg hit from a GVG
