Aloha. As the title says I came here to learn more about the DMT experience. I live on Oahu and we have lots of Acacia Confusa growing here (it’s, as most plants here, an invasive species). I recently did my first extraction following The Super Simple DMT Extraction Guide Found here and was successful. That is a straight to base tek and as I’d like to get better yields I came here to learn the proper Acid/Base tek. Learning new things is also cool so that’s part of it as well. A few other things about me… I have 2 dogs: Chloe a Husky/Lab, and Kaipo a poi dog (that’s what they call a mutt out here). He’s mainly a terrier mix I think probably Jack Russell and/or pit bull with chihuahua and a handful of other breeds. I also have 4 rescue cats: Sunset is a year old and we found him near my shop when he was maybe 6 weeks old. The other 3 are siblings I saw running around next to the road a couple months ago aged about 8-10 weeks at the time: Rico Suave is a boy, The Bandit is a calico girl (naturally), and Monkey is the runt and also a girl. I was initially going to foster them and find homes for them, but they are super good and too cute so I ended up keeping them, lol. My original plan was to keep one to be a playmate for Sunset, but I couldn’t decide which to keep and felt bad about breaking them up. I’m a sucker I guess. That’s about it. If any of you are ever on vacation in Hawaii and you make it to the North Shore hit me up and I can tell you were to get the best shave ice.

Aloha Smile

That's pretty neat, having Acacia confusa in your neighborhood!
Meanwhile in Switzerland i'm starting to get the hang of cultivating it in pots. Attached is an image of my biggest one - it nearly died in winter, maybe because a friend cut the tip, but it made a nice recovery this summer.

What was the yield you got?

A/B doesn't really give better yield than STB btw, but it is easier to produce white crystals with it. Faint yellow crystals are perfectly OK though - some actually prefer them over white.

The main difference is that you do boils/simmers in acidic water first, then filter out the bark, maybe reduce the volume of liquid, then proceed to base and pull. So the naphtha never has contact with the actual bark. This also means that if you're not thorough enough with the boils before filtering, you will not get all the yield. In STB, if you suspect more content in the bark, you can just do another pull.

Glad to have you, i think you'll love it here.

You definitely came to the right place to learn about all things DMT. That's awesome you live close to lots of Acacia Confusa trees! I've heard they are really invasive where you're at.

I like earthwalker's twist on the cyb salt tek for acacia (the one that says newbie friendly) The mini a/b cleanup can get you really pretty white crystals with ACRB.
