Simple quick question, if the answers out there I apologize I couldn't find it.

Ceremonial Cacao is a Maoi

If I drink Cacao then take a capsule of crystal n n dmt will it produce an ayahuasca effect? We've been doing Cacao Ceremonys and adding mushrooms + blue lotus WHICH IS AMAZING now I'm thinking of adding a small amount of dmt to the mix 10-20mg to start. Will it work or am I wasting my crystals? If it does work What's a threshold dose?

My understanding is cacao is not a powerful enough inhibitor of MAO to activate DMT, but I've never tried it, nor do I know anyone who has actually done the experiment. I can attest that cacao definitely seems to intensify mushrooms, whether that be because of MAO inhibition, or some synergy with all the other compounds in there, I can't say, but many others can attest the potentiation.

I'd say it's a valid hypothesis worth testing. Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply gonna try it tomorrow. I'll post an update on how it went. I've smoked it but never ingested. I know it last alot longer so I'm looking to ingest a smaller threshold dose to aid in meditation. It makes sense in my mind that the cacao should work as an Maoi just never read anywhere of it being done.

This thread gave me an idea of masking the horrible the taste of mimosa hostilis with cacao when taking ayahuasca, but apparently it's good to be careful about the combo of maoi and cocoa. Found this old thread: https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=29445

The only time it worked successfully for me, I had to use 100 grams of ceremonial grade, sun-dried, & unroasted cacao which was really uncomfortable to the stomach, not to mention the stimulant effects at that dosage made the body load halfway uncomfortable. But it absolutely did work, maybe not complete inhibition of MAO, but definitely enough to create pronounced effects for 4 hours.

You should to review some literature of ayahuasca and imaos like ayahuasca analogues from jonathan ott , they say that caffeine activates some dmt orally , so i personally dont know about the true about this method .
other think is that cacao alks arent harmine-like alkaloids , but it can be great to mix cacao+ harmine+ dm7

Boiled 5 g of cacao and 5 g of mimosa powder together. Cocoa did help to mask the taste of mimosa, but there has been a strange intoxicated tone in this trip. I wonder if it's due to the interaction with MAOI (took first 5 g brewed Syrian rue) or just coincidence.
