Music I plan on listening to while on Ayahausca Options

Hello, I would like to share some of the music I plan on listening to during my next Ayahuasca session. I will be doing it semi-alone, so this music is picked with intention because only I and I alone can guide this experience to take anything from it. My intention for this session will be to explore my childhood. In particular, I'll be focusing in on my tendency towards escapism, typically in the form of video games and fantasy worlds from books movies and shows. My previous Ayahausca sessions subtly brought this tendency forth as the visuals I had were largely themed around the various fantasy worlds of my childhood fantasies. So, with the intent to explore this imaginative and escapist aspect of me, I chose the following songs:

Astral Observatory- Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask

I chose this song to be part of the sitting because it kind of encapsulates that feeling of longing I always had for these worlds I explored as a kid.

Dire Dire Docks- Super Mario 64

This song is both highly nostalgic and comforting, possibly allowing me to both explore that part of my childhood without getting too overwhelmed.

Forest Temple- Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time

I feel like the whole forest association with this song ties in well with Ayahausca. Especially the fact that the temple itself has a trippy vibe and it's in the middle of the "lost woods" in the game. I also feel the music itself has such a mysterious yet creepy vibe to it that's also relaxing. Possibly the perfect ayahuasca track to go deep with.

At Dawn- Sonic Adventure

A good euphoric track from a game I used to play, fits the kind of vibe and I think it could shape the visuals pretty well.

Good Egg Galaxy- Super Mario Galaxy

This track for me is the epitome of euphoric childhood nostalgia at its finest to the point that even listening to it sober can bring a tear to my eyes. Perfect for my intentions.

Distant Horizons- Skyrim

Skyrim was by far my biggest forray into an alternative world in my life. I have more hours in that game than any other and it's to the point that when I play it I feel like I'm in a comfortable second home.

This list doesn't include everywhere as I plan on including multiple songs from these games, but the gist is an exploration of nostalgia and escapism and how for better or for worse, these world helped shape a part of me somehow. I'm hoping to learn something new about myself by invoking these powerful memories.

Any advice before I do this? What songs do you like when on Ayahausca?
I'd love to see your feedback.

Hi Controlledchaos

As a long time fan of video games music i have to recommend the following tunes:
Dark Souls 1 firelink shrine theme
Dark souls 2 Majula theme
Dying light menu theme
Super Mario (NES) underwater theme
and one of the weirdest pieces of game themes from venezuela is Crazy bus title theme

Hope you are having alot of fun with those

There is a new mix on youtube by wavy genesis that released last friday on ryan celsius channel.
It has alot of samples from video games like final fantasy.
Not my type of music but i was very intoxicated that day and fokn loved it.

I can also recommend watching childhood cartoons or videos about toys from your era.
On psycedelics you can trigger so many memories from your childhood.

Hope your trip turns out great and brings back many good memories

Have a gud one
Psychedelic drugs don´t change you, they don´t change your character,
unless you want to be changed. They enable change. They can´t impose it.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be sure to check all that out. I ended up taking 100 ml of it. I thought it would be a suitable dose because my first ayahuasca trip was this much (it was a different batch) and it hit very hard. However the trip did end up being quite mellow, indicating a weaker brew. That being said, while not strictly nostalgia themed at time it definitely had an effect of you could say, a series of vignettes. Each track I listened to in a long loop until I got what I wanted out of it. Each track seemed to stimulate different types of thoughts from me and I'd follow that thought trail until the medicine indicated to me to play the next song. I purged a tiny bit. This was a very mellow trip centered first and foremost around just thinking about my life and the people in it. Pretty light overall but even a light dose of Ayahausca can be thought provoking so still a good one.
