I'm not sure what could be used for those specific reference weights, however, you're right about the scale having a harder time reading lower weights. What I commonly do is turn the scale on, apply my weighing surface (typically a notecard),tare, put a 10g weight on to check for accuracy (if accurate I move on to weighing my spice, if not I make any adjustments necessary to get it to read accurately being no more than 2mg off), weigh my spice, then remove the spice, check with a 10g weight again, and then double check the amount of spice again.

I add weight to bring it above 50mg before adding DMT. Doing this gives me consistent and accurate results. I use a wadded up piece of parchment paper and use parchment paper as a plate for the DMT then set the wad on it and weigh my spice. Works like a charm. The only thing I could think of that you could use and would be relatively available and consistent for that low of a weight is gunpowder. You could do a comparison to see how many grains vs mg and check it that way.

I just weighed numerous millet grains one at a time. They each weigh around 7 mg. Of course some were 9 mg and some 6mg but the average was 7.

Aluminium foil will have a standard weight per surface area. It should be possible to cut specific sizes of foil as standard weights, then roll/fold them up into a more manageable size.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

That's a great call!

I was also thinking specific coins have specific weights (more in line with Dirty T's method), but probably not within the 5mg to 10mg range.
