I have a nasty problem.

I was under the impression that bufotenine fumerate was very stable. More so than the freebase that's for sure.

Anyway I toasted 8g's of bufotenine fumerate at 480f and now it won't disolve in water. I have a lot of blackened material that has a very DMT like smell but doesn't disolve in anything.

I've attempted to freebase it, but it doesn't seem like any reaction has taken place.

Have I fucked up?

what do you mean it doesnt dissolve on anything? what did you try to dissolve it in?

Water.

warm and acidified with mixing?

hmm... haven't tried acidifying, but I mixed for 10 minutes in warm water.

I'll try that.

Edit: No joy. I also just tasted some of the dry material and it has no flavour.

Very strange... but surely bufotenine fumerate doesn't boil at such a low temperature? Very frustrating.

Try dissolve in acetone (or MEK). Bufo is very soluble in it.

Nah it's fumerate so it's not soluble in acetone.

As I said it has no taste when I put it on my tongue, so it looks like everything's been boiled off.

try freebasing it and extracting with solvent..THEN you can decide if its fucked

Yeah, I haven't given up yet. I think a little bit may have disolved over night. I reckon when it was toasted, the impurities enveloped everything else. I'm hoping so anyways

yea dude...break that crap up as best you can..and let the solvent do the rest...let it sit and work itself out

hmm.. well the bit that evetually disolved... less than .2g's was evapped and smoked and.. ouch my head and my legs hurt, but no visions. That was a whole cones worth vaped nicely, got that head tingle we all know and love, but instead of visions I got the worst vasoconstriction ever.

The seeds were definately good so something bad happened in that oven I'm guessing.

Well nearly 2 weeks later I make 600ml solution saturated with sodium carbonate and near boiling water and hey presto... I got me a jar of nice dark red solution

Sadly I have nowhere to evaporate the water at the moment. Hopefully it'll stay good for a few weeks though



I guess the bit that disolved here was all nasty oils and what not.

hmm, if i dont happen to have a hot plate lying around i can use a frying pan cant i? or would an oven be better?

Im find it strange how everyone talks like they just have a hotplate lying around! (P.S just got my seeds today!)
