Not at all. My comment was an indirect thank you to syragote for offering a suggestion that worked for them, even though it was something I wouldn't try myself. I was trying to avoid coming across as ungrateful.

Very normal. Just keep with it. There's also various methods to help lesson these responses, it can just take time/practice. It'll probably never be ideal, though the things you mentioned can certainly be minimized. Then again I've never found much to be ideal when interfacing with the experience.

Try out some music possibly if you havent. This isn't for everyone. People have talked about the differences in the experience between music/no-music [though to me personally there's little difference], mmv. For me specific genres/types of music can help drive the experience pre/early on. Sure it can add it's own flair to it ..though the experience is still very much 'the experience' in all it's jaw-dropping Glory, once you're there.

I've noticed that if a certain point's reached during the experience - music, no matter the level it's at, becomes a distant feint throb, barely perceptible.

This experience might just not be your thing? That's possible too. I do hope things work themselves out for ya though.

King Tryptamine brought up some good stuff. Learning to be uncomfortable for periods of time && learning to see/push through those moments. A learned art that can take time and practice.

Allow everything, expect nothing.
