CoVid pandemic effecting the mail may have had something to do with me never receiving my package of caapi leaf and vine (not to mention the Palo Santo, cebil, chaliponga). That's fine, we can put magic on anything. Can you help me ID this herb I picked from apt garden today? Smells great, kind of like sage. I also have the end of a sage smudging stick, can this be used for change as well? Peace be with you my brothers and sisters. Well here is what it looks like after enhancement. 1.7 grams of this dried herb sat in 95% everclear into which I had dissolved one gram spice from acacia and 200 mg harmala freebase. It evaporated, dried. I separated the material, washed the spice residue (quite substantial at this point) from the corningware with a little bit of everclear, and let this soak and evap and dry. This time it all took, everything is on the herbs, the material left behind is miniscule. It is now dry and ready to go. I have no real idea what your herb is. If it smells like sage, it might be a Salvia species, there are hundreds, most of which smell different though. You can smoke white sage (Salvia apiana, as in the smudge sticks) or kitchen sage (Salvia officinalis), no problem. In fact, i make my changa with officinalis. From the herbs i tried, i like it best. It is unoffensive for the lungs (at least my material that has been dried in a glass for years) and masks the dmt taste to some degree. Safe and fruitful journeys

Yeah, regrettably that's not much for us to go on for a plant ID - fresher plants and some in-focus close-ups of the various parts including, preferably, flowers would make it a whole lot easier to say something meaningful about it. And, sadly, 'smelling like sage' is a pretty subjective thing inasmuch as I don't know how good your sense of smell is, Tony. An analogy I would allude to is the various occasions where I've encountered people who describe bitter tastes as "sour" and/or vice-versa. Sometimes people have picked up mixed up terminology for these sensations. (Sour → lemons, vinegar; bitter → wormwood, quinine. Just to clarify on that one ) And so, you've done it anyhow (although whatever photo you've tried to embed/attach isn't showing up...) Did you try smoking any of the herb before infusing it? It would be prudent to do so, a couple of times, to ensure it's tolerable. I wouldn't personally advocate the smoking of an unidentified herb, however. “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. Yes, DFZ, I neglected to mention a few things, and to take better pictures. I will try to post the changa pic too. Before enhancement, a bowl of the dried herb was smoked in a glass pipe. It tasted just fine and I noticed no ill effects. Guess what? My other stuff arrived! Caapi leaf, caapi vine, etc... Stoked!! Gentlemen and ladies, it's changa time!!! Also, in case you haven't noticed, its time to wake up and get stoned. olympus mon wrote:You need to hit it with intention to get where you want to be! Can I do an everclear soak/shake of the original herb material which I enhanced with a gram of acacia magic, and then put a gram of caapi leaf in the alcohol to evaporate?? olympus mon wrote:You need to hit it with intention to get where you want to be! There's no particular reason not to. A single soak will leave some proportion of the magic on the mystery leaves. You would have to estimate this proportion based on the volume of solvent you recover. A second soak would be entirely feasible if it seemed like there was a remaining amount worth recovering. “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. I unfortunately cannot assist in the identification (though I wish I could. I owe you one lol), but no ill effect is a plus . And I think the idea of the resoak sounds dandy. Maybe just recalculate your rates to make sure you have the ratio you want. And good shit on your package arriving!
