SWIM Currently has a few batches on third freeze/thaw in anticipation for better extraction, supposedly an unnecessary and lengthy step However would like to see the max yield of 100g as apposed to no freeze/thaw process and compare to previous efforts.
In hind sight, should have invested a few more coins in some better quality containers over a 10 pack of takeaway containers as they do tend to leak from the lids and mess up the freezer but oh well.

So had some dismal results on my last extraction, mostly disappointed in myself for not doing the process properly n: time restrictions and other things like broken lids just made things worse! So after seeing just a few little random Crystals I thought I would throw in the left over stuff from the previous effort, washed out some fats Resulting in a .69g end product from 75g ACRB (plus the other stuff) Anyway in the process I had a feeling it was going to be a crap result, so I kept all the solvent used and separately reduced to 1/5th volume by air evaporation. Put in freezer and to my surprise found much more spice in this than the actual extraction! It's air drying at this moment and will weigh it tomorrow but at least in the end it doesn't seem like such a failure. In the process I decided to make some worthwhile purchases: magnetic hotplate stirrer, 1L Reagent bottle, and a few other tid bits. Will hopefully make future extractions higher yielding and will be more happy to post the much anticipated yields😁 Stay tuned

Small update, weighed up the second freeze precipitation at 500 mg which brings the yield up to 1.2 g, a little more satisfied with this result! It's not the whitest I've done but it will do very nicely in some changa mix. Just wanted to say. Used this tech... worked great for me, noticed a few typos that confused me alittle. Atleast Im assuming they are typos. Produced great snowy white crystals. Didnt get a real number on yeild % though. Maybe next time. ●○•° Slow down, enjoy the moment °•○● One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.

Can anyone compare the level of goo/plant fats involved with ACRB to using chacruna? My first ever extraction was using Cyb's hyrid salt tek with chacruna (not very common for a first extraction, I know...) and I didn't use any cleanup. It was fairly gooey, but after good scraping and letting it dry out a bit in a shallow dish I didn't mind the finished product at all. It's gonna get made into changa anyhow Should I do it just for the experience as I've never really extracted super clean spice? Too much work for something that's going to be made into changa? Impossible to tell given different source materials? Thanks, all.

Hey, It's been a good 10 years since I did an extraction, but got a bit of a hankering so about to. Seems there is a world of new techniques, this Tek looks great and powdered ACRB seems to be the go.
Is there really no filter of the bark from the soup prior to adding salt and base? That seemed like one of the more onerous steps for extracting from powder. So much easier if not required to force it through a Tshirt or something.

.8 from 50g of ACRB. Glad I didn't make up the lot. This should last a bit lol. Also this is just the nice crystalline stuff. I've not scraped the precip dish yet. This was just plucked out of it. I never was able to get crystals like that. I'm looking forward to trying this version out. I've always just done Cybs salt anyways so interested to see how different it will be. Havnt had the chance to read the entire thread yet.

Usually take 4-7 days depending how much shellite and surface area there is.

Wow I feel like an idiot. I always thought the freeze was required or the naptha would be too hot to allow the crystals to form? So if I were to say I put like 1g of freebase in a 1/2 pint Mason jar and cover it with fresh naptha, that's it? I just leave it uncovered and alone for weeks or whatever and they form? Ambient temp doesn't play an issue?

Basically. you can dissolve a gram of freebase in very warm, bordering hot 150ml naphta (could probably use l3ss as per re-x, but the longer it takes to evap the larger the crystals) and then put it in a glass dish. I use a small baking dish. Cover it with aluminium foil, poke some holes in the top with a pin and leave it somewhere to evap (Not inside). I just whack it in a shoebox under my bbq outside. Ambient temperature doesn't play a part where I live (temperate region). I've used a short wide drinking glass before as well to limit the surface area of the evap to make it take longer and was rewarded with dense packed crystals too. Experiment. Have fun. But the concept of growing a dmt crystal is the same as any crystal growing. Basically as the naphta evaporates the dmt freebase starts to look for somewhere to settle and as it does, adjacent end molecules are attracted and they begin ordering themselves into a crystal matrix/lattice. If you have an existing little dmt crystal, you can use it as a seed for the remaining molecules to attach to. Won't be all of it, but the big 200mg one in my most recent pic was seeded.
