SWIM did STB using 1:1 MHRB:lye, extracted 2x with ~150 mL limo each time. Combined both portions of limo, then added ~40 mL FASI (using 99% IPA, made from 91% IPA + anhydrous mag sulfate).
As expected, addition of FASI created an orange "goo" very quickly on the bottom of the jar. Slow addition of more FASI over about 5 hours, however, did not seem to create any xtals. The "goo" was separated from the limo, dissolved in water, and then evapped in a dehydrator at 145 C.
SWIM's dehydrator has been going for several hours, but the goo is still kind of sticky and, well, goo-like. He thought it would form crystals? Did SWIM do something wrong, or is this how it's supposed to be?
