Hello I am plain old Steve, I like music and smoking weed plain old Steve has many friends who know Dimitri and has started to converse himself, thank you all for such good information and being so precise with all the facts! I have been reading for a long time and absorbing as much as I can! Steve has experience with acacia and phalaris and will eventually try delosperma Steve has a theoretical question What would happen if Steve was at the stage of evaporating naptha and he added loosely chopped Mary Jane to the mixture and let it dry Would Steve now have changa or unsafe herbs+?

As long as you make sure all the naphtha is properly evaporated, then you can smoke that. When you think its all totally evaporated, I'd do a process sort of like weed curing, leaving it in a closed glass jar for some hours, then open it for a few hours, and keep cycling like that. This will help making sure all the naphtha that might be imperceptible at first, trapped deep within the herb, has chance to evap off.
Just a note on terminology, usually people will call that "enhanced leaf/herb", not changa, since for changa generally you need to add caapi to it.
How was your experience with phalaris ? Was it a reliable alkaloid source? Did you get decent yields ? What strain you grew?

Hey man! Weed smoker myself. Endlessness did a great job of answering your question, but I'd just add that 'generally' people don't really infuse weed just because of the costliness of such a base. By this I just mean that in my experience, the carrier, so to speak, is not so important and it might be better to find a more cost effective "herb". Mullein in my experience is the best base: fluffy, absorbent and delicious. To each his own. The metaphysical comfort--with which, I am suggesting even now, every true tragedy leaves us--that life is at the bottom of things, despite all the changes of appearances, indestructibly powerful and pleasurable--this comfort appears in incarnate clarity in the chorus of the satyrs, a chorus of natural beings who live ineradicably, as it were, behind all civilization and remain eternally the same, despite the changes of generations and of the history of nations. --Nietzsche
Ontology has it backwards. “This ‘saying to the Other’ — this relationship with the Other as interlocutor, this relation with an existent — precedes all ontology; it is the ultimate relation in Being” --Levinas

Thank you for the advice endless will have to try and give it a go soon, I have some Lactuca Virosa I may 'enhance' instead as it was only a few dollars Thrasymachus Phalaris Aquatica, very lushish species, harvested at sunset, exactly dead on as it is said that the alkaloids are higher as the chemical processes are in action, I have no evidence for this as I can't remember where I read it sorry,, makes sense to me though, anyway Steve did a small batch of the seeds only, as Steve figured there would be less fats and Steve haven't got the most resources available when it comes to nps' Steve did 2 defatts and a v simple a/b extraction and got a surprisely high yield (about 40mg of 'spice from 30 or so seed pods) this seemed v active but Steve was scared to smoke it in one go for the gramine potential so I hit it over 3 small hits on two occasions and it was definitely dmt but the dose was way to small to tell potency,, side note Steve kept the seeds in a warm acid for a day or so just to try and remove any cyanide as it tends to remove some of the potential cyanide lol
Conclusion- Steve is highly interested as this is much more sustainable and effective but more testing will be done, when Steve is on holiday Steve will try again and report more on the grass

Do you guys recommend mixing the hamarlas etc into the enhanced herb? Or is it optional? Steve uses acacia anyway so it seems to have nmt and some other alkaloids present already?

Adding some caapi leaf to it would make it wonderful. Don't worry, B. caapi! I'm a man from a place with hands and a face. Part of the heart of the human race. It illuminates. ∵ ✞ ☯ ॐ ☮ ღ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ © $ ∴ Ę$ø✞ę®ȉ©
