Made some Enhanced leaf but got a question.... Options

Hello there! First time posting here, most of the time just lurking and getting information.

I made some changa (enhanced leaf actually, but will call it changa to make it easier) but ran in some troubles. I cant post yet in the changa sub forum so i'm gonna do it here, hope thats allright.

The spice I got from a friend and he said it was not the most purest. (not gonna complain, it was free)

I followed the formula in the dmt handbook and used 0.6g spice on 0.9g herbs. I tried to dissolve the spice in cold aceton but that did not work that well so I put it in a warm water bath to help the dissolving process. This worked a bit but not everything got dissolved. After stirring for a while I put the herbs in there and let it dry for the night. The next day the aceton was gone but there was still a lot of powder in the bottom of the bowl and a sticky goo around the edge thats crystally.

My question is, is the leftover material not soaked up dmt or is it because of the impuraty of the spice?

So is it possible to add aceton again, try to get the warm water bath a bit warmer and see if it will dissolve or will it do more harm than good?

Thanks in advance!

I always do a second soak/stir/evap with mine, to get more of the DMT deposited onto the leaf. Also I mix mine 1:1 and sometimes more if the DMT is the tan, waxy impure type. I have a shot glass that is shaped like a little martini glass so that as the solvent is evapping (I use 91% IPA) the liquid is reducing down into a smaller volume. Periodic stirring of the mixture helps minimize the amount of DMT left on the walls of the glass. I put the glass in front of a $10 Wamalart Fan/Heater overnight.
My flesh moves, like liquid. My mind is cut loose.

Thanks for your reply!
Ok so i will try another soak tonight. I was not there to stir it while it was evaporating so i will try to do it now. It was not goo originally, the spice was really "dusty", the goo is leftover now.

Second infusion sounds good. Harmine/harmaline generally forms like that too when making changa, I scrape it out and throw it on top of the changa. Since you made enhanced leaf I assume all that is in fact dmt. The bowl seems big. Try a shot glass and very little solvent (I use Everclear which is alcohol, ethanol, about 70% I think.

So i did another soak, this time in a shot glass. Put a pan with water that got till near boiling then let it cool off a bit and placed the shot glass in it with the herbs that were already infused. But there is still a sandy texture on the bottom of the glass Neutral
I will keep stirring it occasionally but I guess I will only know for sure tomorrow when its weighted....

What I often do making changa is after the first soak has dried I dampen the changa with ~1ml of solvent and push it round so any stray bits in the dish stick to the leaf. Let it dry and then do it again. Might take a few goes but I'll get pretty much all of it stuck in the end. I use 90% ethanol though, I don't know how this varies from using acetone as I've not used it.

So the herbs are dry, it looks like most of it is on the herbs, weighted it and it got the weight its supposed to have! Thanks for the help guys! Gonna let them dry a bit more because I can still smell a bit of aceton and then gonna test it out Smile

And oh yeah aceton is the easiest to obtain here but next time I'm gonna try to use ethanol if I can find it.
