Have you ever felt unwelcomed by the spice? Options

SWIM has understood that the use of the spice is always with respect, and that it is never to be considered as a toy. SWIM thinks that, although he didn't use the spice many times, he lately feels unwelcomed by it and has bad trips. SWIM has been therefore finding it hard to completely let go out of fear, even after meditating and having simple music and palo santo around.

Apart from taking an indefinite break for now, do you have any tips about this situation?

Have you ever felt something similar?

I personally have felt discouraged to trip by entities after i have overstayed my welcome. It happened because i was tripping too often, and it started with gentle reminders to take it easy. Then the shutout, followed by a hyperslap 3 weeks after the shutout.

It has never made me feel unwelcome, it only hints at me to reduce my usage.

My former colleague did feel unwelcome in his 2nd trip. There might be several factors that determine this. The only common trend i have observed from people who have felt unwelcome is their intention, although it's not an accurate predictor. Perhaps the unwelcome feeling is a sign that it's not your time yet.

Also, no need to SWIM here.

Thank you so much for your insight. I certainly have to order some stuff around before I can go back.
Safe travels

Once, because SWIM was doing it more out of a routine rather than doing it because SWIM really wanted to.

What is SWIM? I see it on the older posts, and a few recent ones that were told it’s not necessary anymore.

Nope can't say I have.

'Unwelcomed' is a pretty broad term though imo. Unwelcomed how so? Bad trips? What seems to constitute a 'bad trip' for you? I think all of our definitions and what we deem for some of these terms can vary quite a bit, so that's why I'm asking you.

I've had 'challenging' experiences, and I probably could've written them off as 'bad trips'. Once again - we vary here.

Also having fear in consequence of this will only add to something that's not necessarily there imo.

I've said this a ba'jillion times here, but I'll say it again:

Don't try to box this experience in based on your personal or idealized expectations - that will only muddle the waters, cause confusion, and potentially cause unneeded terror. Realize that this experience can and will give you whatever it wishes to give you. You're not in control. It is. This experience, when it's in full swing - is far removed from/beyond your preconceptions.

The less you impose and try to control (in every potential/conceivable aspect) - consequently the more control you'll ultimately have regarding this experience. Freedom in this experience ime is nested in what I said above.

A conundrum it seems, but for me in all these years of smoking the stuff - this is whats shown to have been the case for me.

Someone Who i Met "SWIM"

I understand that it´s used mostly in bluelight from older crowd like me, just to avoid any assumption of use issues with authorities.

I always thought SWIM stood for "someone who IS me"

Never understood how it protected anyone

Thank you, Tatt.

My feeling is I have a hard time letting go completely. When the experience starts, I automatically think "no" and the reply is always "you chose this experience, you chose to be here, there is no "no" here".

This, as you pointed out, does muddy the experience and the waters for me, and complicates the trips. Thank you very much for your reply. I will work on myself before attempting future travels.

Gnostic wisdom. I think it applies to everything in life, including psychedelic experiences.

If you walk into a room of people and feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed, I feel that is completely and totally your problem and not caused by anyone in the room. If you walk into that room with confidence and treat everyone with respect, you might find you begin to have some fun. Slowly you may recognize how silly it was to feel unwelcomed in the first place. I think all to often we worry about what others feel about us. I feel it is all a reflection of how we see the world. It you do not like to feel unwelcomed, then begin to make people feel welcomed.

There is nothing that is not welcoming you in hyperspace. What you are not bringing with you is causing these feelings. This is all internal. What happens to us externally is largely out of our hands. The only thing you can control is your own self.

Jeez.. not sure if that is helpful at all?!

Another quote perhaps.. lol

Thank you so much for such a great answer, YouAreWeAmI. It resonated on aspects of my personality I have to work with.
