after many years of whiling away my existence with joints i have decided to quit smoking and start vapourising.

I have absolutely no knowledge about vapes so im after some recommendations from you good folk. I cant really spend a fortune but all recommendations are welcome.

First : do you smoke weed with tobacco or pure ? If you use tobacco, it's a bit difficult to switch to vapo because you will miss the synergy THC/nicotine. It's still possible, i did it Razz .

How do you smoke ? At home, everywhere, from morning to evening, only in evening, alone, with friends ?

hello DansMaTete,

normally i use tabacco, the last few days of bongs and mullein joints has provided a different experience than normal, but im fine with that.

Im after something for at home in the evenings after work, sometimes with friends but mainly just for myself.

My girlfriend uses my GVG for both weed and hash. It does a fine job but breaks my heart to see it all gunked up with sticky cannabis residue.Crying or very sad

GVG is great for Cannabis. Very lucid, very tasty.

You already have a gvg so start with that.it does take a bit of getting used to though. I also recommend basil bush conical gauzes for any herb in the gvg.

If you are a bong smoker and like big rips, something like the herborizer tube would be good, you can then adapt pretty much any bong to become a vape then also.

There are bag vapes like the volcano or extreme q which will allow you to premeasure a dose and puff away.

Volcano have released a couple of great looking hand held devices, crafty and mighty, which are supposedly the badgers nadgers but still quite pricey.

Essentially there are tons of different units, none are perfect, depends how much money you are willing to splash and how portable you want it really.

arizer v-tower or extreme q is my personal favorite.

if you like bags, the volcano is better, but i prefer the arizer on all other fronts.

also, since it has such incredibly good airflow (and three fan settings on top of that), you can pack in a large quantity of ground material that would be overloading for most vapes, but with this one you just get clouds of vapor so dense you might as well be dabbing.

also a fair amount of basically pure hash oil (And vaped weed particulates) will accumulate in the whip via condensation, and this can be recovered with isopropyl, and filtered/evaporated for a nice clean red oil (orally active!)

morning,

i have been using my GVG for the last few days and its good but if i continue to use it for weed i will break it or loose the top piece, i am 100% sure of thisLaughing

ive got a VG screw on attached to my bong which worked ok, pretty much the same as my GVG.

i am after something with decent temp control and without a bag, bags just seem like a faf to me, but i have never used one so i could well be wrong.

Is there a big difference between electric devices like a volcano, and VG/GVG/VG-bong type devices? if there isnt alot of difference then i may just stick with what ive got.

looking to keep it under £200.

thanks for the suggestionsThumbs up, i will look into them tonight.

Be sure to have a look at the extreme Q. I've tried many different vapes over the last years.

I tried the old school standard model, like this but with a digital display

I've tried the classig VG.

I have tried and still have the herborizer

I have the Vapobong, which is my fav. portable vape till now.

And finally I got the extreme Q months ago. It can be used with or without bags. It came with stuff like a second bowl, two elbow pieces, screens, whips, etc. etc....

The extreme Q is my favourite so far as it has the most possibilities of use. It has a great temperature control which checks temperature three times a second and adjusts the heating to the airflow in near realtime.

It also comes with potpourri attatchment. I filled it with low grade trim once and let it run...lol. Best potpourri ever.

Extreme Q- Owned one for a few years and works great as a cannabis vaporizer, and all around vaporizer for different herbs.

Purple days vaporizer- Simple and bulletproof design, runs a bit cool but you can get a dial and use a 15v dc supply instead of a 12v to get custom temp control. My daily driver for vaping, bowl for PD vape fits perfectly in 14mm female joint so its good to go with bongs/bubblers.

And finally one i havent had the chance to try yet, but looks very promising, firewood vaporizer. Portable, like a mflb, but much better design and batteries. Inexpensive, and glass vapor path. Everything i've heard about the firewood has been ravingly positive.

Just my 2c on vaporizers.

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.” - Wendell Berry

I have a personal vaporizer called the Arizer Solo which works perfectly for all of my needs. I've found that it can be used by a maximum of 3 people for great effects. 4 chambers of decent weed from this will have you stoned, hard. It cost $150, and I split the purchase with a friend to make it even cheaper.

If you would like to use more weed at a given time or share with more people, the Extreme Q that steppa recommended would be best. I used something similar called an Easy Vape (these are only like $40 to $70 and are amazing) for quite a time. This can support up to 6 or 7 people trying to get high, and it is a lot of fun to pass the silicone tube around.

The Arizer Solo can also be used to vaporize DMT, although I would use a separate stem for this. I have had a couple amazing trips using this instead of a bong, but it works very well for weed alone too. Best of luck.

If/When you get one. Be sure to not place the bowl upside down. The rubber coating has to be on the top side. It's there so that you don't burn your fingers, when you take the bowl off.

Do you think we should/could have a thread espacially about this vaporizer. I think it could be usefull as it seems to me that several members on here have such a device. We could then share our experices/tips/tricks regarding the device.

I understand.

That doesn't sound very keen. What's the matter? What wasn't as you expected it to be? Maybe I can help out with experience.
