If I intake a sufficiently large quantity of cannabis, I always get the same weird feeling, as though whatever room I happen to be in is suddenly the only thing that exists. It's as if my implicit awareness of the outside world is gone. Everything I can see is exists, but there's a tacit expectation that, if I were the open the door, there would just be black void.

Even if I smoke during the day, unless I'm actually outside, or looking out a window, the same effect emerges. It's like my object permanence has gone away: if I can see it, it no longer exists.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Blessings

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Hmm, interesting. I actually get the opposite effect for whatever reason. I find myself constantly thinking about everything except for what is immediately near and around me(unless I am distracted by netflix, music, or my girlfriend etc...then that is all I can focus on typically). I think part of that is stemmed from the slight paranoia I feel from cannabis.

I have never felt like the outside world was gone from cannabis alone, even on edibles. Like I said above, I get infatuated with every dog barking, car passing by, neighbors being noisy, passerby(s) on the sidewalk, train whistles(I live about 5 blocks from train tracks) and whatever else may be out there. Interesting topic for sure!

Sitting cross-legged in the ocean during a knee deep low tide at night while UTI of cannabis is as close to object impermanence as I've ever got.
I see what you mean though ND and have felt it a few handfuls of times, but I hardly ever go deep enough now feel to that feeling in closed spaces. It's uncomfortably confronting.
Inconsistency is in my nature.
