swim lives in a warm and humid climate and is having some difficulties with the fp step
all is going well - big xtals are formed but my question is this.
swim has the fp happening inside a shot glass with cling/glad wrap over it -
when swim removes it from the freezer, because of the humidity there is a lot of water condensation on the glass
if i suck up the naptha while cold then leave the xtals to dry in there, they get moist then dry losing their formations - if swim leaves the clingwrap on until it reaches room temp - would any of the spice redissolve in the now warmer naphtha ?
Yes the point of lowering the temperature of the solvent is to decrease it's capacity to hold onto DMT. You should also scrape out your crystals immediately after draining off the cold solvent and place them on filter paper or coffee paper.
It works in the same way as water and air in our atmosphere, as the temperature of the air (Naptha) increases, it can hold more water (DMT). What we do is a process of decreasing the temperature of a solvent; you are causing the big DMT xtals to precipitate like frozen water (symbolic DMT crystals) or snow out of the sky. It does not snow when air is warm since the higher temperature air/environment/solvent has a higher capacity for holding water.
