Hello folks a friend of mines was wanting me to send him a Salvia plant, only problem is im in the UK and he is in Vietnam. I have a couple of cuttings and just recently potted 4 cuttings. Im wondering does anyone have experience of sending Salvia plants in the mail? I know salvia can survive some difficult conditions but being shipped half way around the world with no light? Thoughts advice or expereinces posting plants would be great. cheers

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

Id guess it depends on how fast you can ship it. I have never shipped it anywhere but I have ordered it a few years back and it took at least a few days if not more..it was yellow on arrival but was able to bring it back..I would suspect a rooted cutting would be able to survive longer..then again they seem to like less light before they root so...
Long live the unwoke.

This is what im not sure of, sending a plant or a cutting. I read bad things about sending a cutting. Doubt it will work its a long way away and I sent some crystals to the US the other week, it took 3 weeks after them telling me it would take a week. Im sure the US postal service is more efficient than the vietnamese tbh cheers for the info fractal

I was ask also this for a salvia cutting or plant, now make me think a rooted plant cut on the base will survive and grow from roots again eventually. these plants are sensitve but want to live. i might try that but am afraid of the mail getting lost like it happened sometimes.
hard to send sally in such conditions really.
