this reminds me of an incident some friends had a while back. several of us had many salvia experiences on 20-40x.
a new friend wanted to try some. ok, no prob. out comes the 20x. this dude freaked out. started making al kinds of weird noises, and sat up abruptly, eyes open. then he proceeded to jump to his feet,......I am glad he didn't jump out the window! it was a second floor apt. over grass, but still. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb76bpIWQPw

As much as I am for the legalization of all substances, and the EDUCATION of society about the truths of mind altering compounds, I dont know...maybe today in our extremely flawed society we SHOULD make it illegal. And not so because the drug is to blame or because it is harmful (which of course as you all know anything can be harmful if used irresponsibly) but for the sole fact that it is marketed as a legal alternative high. Other drugs, mild by comparison of effect, such as marijuana, are illegal, and it promotes this convoluted thinking in many young people today that because something is 'legal' you can therefore do whatever you want with it without any regard for the consequences of your actions. Don't get me wrong, I think this is as preposterous as the rest of you intelligent people here at the nexus. But the rest of the world is not ready to accept these things, and maybe its a good idea that young people looking to get a high (where unfortunately the majority of people that go to a headshop, see a vial of salvia and say, "oh lets try that stuff omgz we'll get retawded!" can't just buy this stuff at the store. IF it was illegal, just like dmt, you have to work for it, do the research and LEARN about the stuff before obtaining it. well, I shouldnt have to pay the price for others stupidity. If people are going to take psychoactive substances they should have the brains to do some research before hand. I think that people should be informed abut salvia before they purchase it, and if you go into head shops here and buy it they usually make you take an information sheet home with you that explains all of this. It is not our responcibility to be the common sense of another person. I understand that some people take salvi as some legal high but that is not my problem and I shouldnt become a criminal for growing it just becasue someone else was too absent to bother to think. I definatily feel for all the people who are/have been unknowingly given salvia thinking it was something else, or assuming it is similar to cannabis..but at the end of the day we must take responcibily for our own paths if we truely wish to progress at all as a species. Far too long have the powers made silly laws for our "protection", comprimising a certain level of personal responcibily of the adverage person. Prohibition only inhibits the development of our society and shelters us from the reality of our choices. A simple google search for no more than 5 minutes and anyone with half a brain can tell that salvia is much more than just a legal cannabis alternative. Long live the unwoke.

NO If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.
